Three male youths and two female youths are facing charges after a string of criminal acts in Kitchener.
Waterloo Regional Police say the incidents happened over a three-hour period Monday evening, in the area of Fairway Road South, Ottawa Street South and Mill Street.
The criminal acts involved crimes of violence against members of the public, plus an arson.

In the first incident, two passengers were harassed on the ION, spit on and had racial slurs yelled at them.
A knife was displayed, with the suspects allegedly making death threats and also tossing rocks at the victims when they attempted to leave.

Shortly after the first incident, a fire was set to a large underground garbage container at a plaza on Fairway Road South, which was put out by the Kitchener Fire Department.

The suspects then approached another victim at a grocery store in the area, spit in his face and began using racial slurs.
Again a knife was displayed, rocks were thrown and the victim was robbed of his personal belongings.
